Who I Am

Hi! I am Christina Lilavois, aka CLILY. I am a Haitian-Jamaican freshman at Pace University where I will be studying film and media. I have always been drawn to the arts and writing, ever since I was young. I remember the first story I wrote was in third grade about these three pups who found out they had superpowers and had to save the world from impending doom…what a story from a third grader. I love turning my imagination into a reality, whether it’s with the stories I write, the poetry I speak, or the films I make.

I took my first interest in filmmaking in the summer going into my junior year, where I attended Purchase’s Pre-College Film Program and made my very first short films there. The following summer, I also attended Pace’s Pre-College Film Program where I was able to learn more about the technical side of filmmaking. Since then, I have written, edited, and acted in over eight short films such as “The Dwindling Fire,” which became a finalist in the SE Pennsylvania Youth Film Festival, and “Panic Attack” which was also a finalist for the NYC Teen Film Festival. Other recognitions were my short films “The Dwindling Fire” and “My Immortal Beloved” receiving semi-finalist spots in the Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival. Currently, I am part of the Chelsea Film Festival’s Screenwriting Incubator where my 5 minute short film, The History Will Always Stay, will be premiering. A short film about truly understanding your past family members’ lives and putting yourself in their shoes…literally. When I am older, I hope to own my own production company as full-time director making feature films in genres such as horror, psychological thriller, and drama.

I hope this page can serve as a safe space for people who love creativity and the arts. Through stories, poetry, films, and more, I hope this page provides relatability and inspiration for whoever needs it.
